the challenge
Painted by James Charles needed a UK launch that could stand up to the attention a name that size brings, without leaning on the name alone to carry the commerce. A showcase LIVE amplifies whatever is underneath it, so a broadcast built to be watched but not built to convert would have wasted the reach it was about to get. The brief was a single showcase moment engineered to turn a launch-day audience into launch-day revenue.
the approach
We built the launch as a TikTok LIVE showcase: a fully produced, multi-camera broadcast staged the way we run every tentpole moment, with offer architecture, trained hosts and a run-of-show planned minute by minute rather than improvised on air. The goal was viewers who stayed, not viewers who peeked in and scrolled on.
Offer sequencing was built for a launch audience specifically: the right products pinned at the right moments to catch attention as it peaked, and pricing structured to convert interest into purchase inside the window while the broadcast still had the room's attention. Everything on screen, from the presenting to the pacing, was pointed at keeping the concurrent audience watching for the length of the show, because a showcase that holds its audience is a showcase that keeps selling.
Behind the broadcast sat the same full TikTok Shop management discipline we run for every launch: stock, listings and pricing ready to take the volume a showcase like this can send in a single hour.
the results
The showcase ran at $75k GMV an hour, the kind of run rate that only holds when the offer and the audience are both working at once. The broadcast reached 12.5m impressions, and held 3,000+ concurrent viewers consistently for the length of the show, rather than spiking and fading. For a UK launch, that is a showcase that converted the attention it earned.
